SLANCH!

Terms & Conditions

SLANCH! is a community pub guide. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

Who runs SLANCH!

SLANCH! ("we", "us") is currently in a friends-and-family test. Company and contact details are placeholders and will be added here before public launch.

Who can use it

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. SLANCH! is about pubs and bars, so some content relates to alcohol. We don't sell alcohol and we don't encourage anyone to drink; please drink responsibly and follow the law where you are.

Your account

  • Use a name you're happy for other drinkers to see. Don't impersonate anyone.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

What you post

Verdicts, reviews, photos, prices, facts, crawls and your display name and picture are public. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to show, store and share it inside SLANCH! and in previews of SLANCH! pages (for example when a link is shared). You can remove your content at any time.

You agree not to post anything that is:

  • abusive, hateful, harassing or discriminatory
  • untrue about a venue or a person, or written to damage a business unfairly
  • advertising, spam, or a review of a venue you are connected to
  • someone else's photo or writing without their permission
  • personal information about anyone else

We can hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Anyone can report a review or photo from the page it appears on.

Rankings, prices and pub information

  • Rankings come from community verdicts. Nobody can pay to rank higher, ever.
  • Verified venues pay for landlord tools and a badge. That badge never changes a pub's position, and sponsored slots are always labelled.
  • Pint prices, opening hours, facts and photos are contributed by people and by third-party data. They may be out of date or wrong. Always check with the pub.

Venues and landlords

If you claim a pub you confirm you're authorised to represent it. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling keeps your tools until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments are handled by our payment provider, not by us directly.

Availability and liability

SLANCH! is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available but can't promise either. We aren't responsible for your experience at a pub, for third-party links, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing here limits liability we can't limit by law.

Changes and disputes

We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be shown in the app. You keep all the consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in, and you can always bring a claim in your local courts.
